Q&A: Top 5 Questions Asked When Ordering A Dumpster

We’ve compiled a list of the five most frequently asked questions when placing an order, to save you some time on your next order! See the answers below.

Almost anything! Our bins are used most commonly for home improvement or cleanout projects, but can also be used for roofing jobs, fence and deck demolition, backyard cleaning, construction jobs, and more!

People are often unsure of whether they can put windows, glass, metal, electronics, and appliances in their bin which they are more than welcome to! The only restrictions we have are on hazardous and bio-hazardous items such as motor oils, car tires, wet paint cans, propane tanks and mattresses. If there are any of these items found in your bin, there will be an extra charge by the transfer station which will appear on your invoice.

If an order is placed by noon, we will be able to have a bin to you within 2-3 hours. If an order is placed later on in the day, we may be fully booked for the day and be scheduling for the next morning.

This being said, if you are hoping you have your dumpster rental arrive at a certain time, we recommend that you give one day’s notice, so that we can plan accordingly. We are always available Mondays through Saturdays.

Ultimately, we will not know the final weight until it has been dumped at a transfer station. However, we have been doing this for long enough that we are able to give a rough estimate:

Household Cleanout
Average of 1 - 1.5 tonnes
E.g. furniture, clothing, general garbage,
electronics, toys, appliances

Renovation Debris
Average of 1 - 2 tonnes
E.g. lumber, drywall, plaster, cabinets, flooring

Clean fill material
1 yard = about 1 tonne
E.g. soil, concrete, brick, gravel, asphalt

Roofing materials
Every 30 bundles = about 1 tonne
Shingles

Absolutely! All of our bin rentals include driveway protection, which consists of a series of boards placed under the bin. This means that the bin will never touch your driveway. For a look at our driveway system, check out our YouTube video which shows how our bins are delivered.

Transparency
We make sure customers understand any charges they would have at the time of order, so that there are no surprises when they receive their final invoice. There are no hidden fees such as fuel surcharges or administrative fees, only what is disclosed at the time of order. We also guarantee that you will only be charged for what you are throwing in your bin. This is why if you exceed our one-tonne minimum we attach the scale ticket directly from the transfer station, so you know that we are not overcharging you. This ticket shows you where we went, the date and time, the bin number (which will match your invoice), as well as gross, tare, and net weights.

Customer Service
Our customer service representatives are always available Monday through Saturday by phone or email. If you are calling outside of our operating hours, simply leave a message with your name and phone number and one of our representatives will get back to you the next morning. We are also available via email, Facebook messenger, Instagram, and Google My Business messenger.

Speedy Delivery & Pick-up

If a call is placed by noon, we are able to deliver, pick up, or switch out a bin within 2 to 3 hours. We normally ask for only one day’s notice, however we keep space in our schedule for ‘ASAP orders’ to ensure we are able to service as many customers per day as possible. Don’t worry about having to keep your bin rental for longer than you need it for; when called in for pick up, we guarantee it will be picked up by the end of the next business day at the latest, however it is normally picked up that same day.
